Entering Vehicles for Sale
As you would expect our sales are all very busy with potential entries, so we like to ensure that all vehicles accepted for entry are done so with realistic expectations from vendors, in terms of the value a car is likely to achieve.
To do this all you need to do is complete our on line vehicle entry form and send it to us along with a minimum of 8 photos showing both internal and external shots, as well as your suggested reserve (if your require one)
From this we will then conduct extensive market research into the likely value of your vehicle and upon completion we will contact you by phone agree a reserve and provide the details of how to pay your Entry fee of £75.00 (which includes a valet). Once agreed and your deposit has been received this will form the basis of your contract for entering your vehicle into our next classic Car Sale and in doing so you are bound by our conditions of sale (available on this site).
You will now be required to send all the supporting paperwork to us by registered post including the registration document, MOT and all the service history, upon receipt, we will begin marketing the vehicle based on all the information you have provided us – hence its important to ensure this is as accurate as possible.
We will then ask you to agree the proof at which point your vehicle will be entered into our specialist catalogue and promoted to thousands of potential buyers using various forms of media including:- National magazines, Our web site, direct marketing Face book and local publications to name but a few.
Getting the Vehicle to the Sale.
We require all vehicles to be delivered into us by the Wednesday before the sale. We are open Monday to Friday from 9.00 – 17.00 with extended hours on Tuesday and Thursday evenings until approx. 20.30 and also on the Saturday morning from 09.00 – 12.00 on the weekend before the sale for the deliveries.
Day of the Sale
The gates will open at 09.00 on the day of the sale for physical viewing of all the vehicles which are all open for inspection - all be it carefully watched over by our staff.
At 12.00 the sale will commence and as long as your car runs it will be driven into the hall by one of our team of drivers where the auctioneering will take place and bids received from both physical web buyers. If your vehicle exceeds the reserve or has been entered as ‘To Be Sold’ the vehicle will sell upon the fall of the hammer and the proceeds of the sale will be automatically sent to you within 14 days, minus our fees of 5% (min £100)
In the event of your vehicle receiving a bid under the reserve - known as a provisional, we will call you, discuss the bid, with a view to negotiating the sale of the vehicle based upon your instruction.
If your car remains unsold we will again call you to discuss the next move which will be to either collect it with in 7 days or by arrangement to enter it into a future sale.
